I have always been a pretty big fan of Favre. He has skill, attitude, and courage. He still has it in him to influence the outcome of a game, and I don't think he's quite done yet, but I hope he hangs it up before he becomes a shadow of himself. That being said, I think Shaun Rogers will make Favre look like Claude Lemieux did on March 26, 1997. I known that I am supposed to learn from history. History teaches us that the Lions will disapoint me. Not anymore. At the beginning of the season I was being realistic for the first time in my twenty five years as a Lions fan when I predicted the Lions would go 9-7. I am now predicting 11-5. On the other hand, I know that I shouldn't get my hopes up where the Lions are concerned. Then again, everybody told me that the Wings wouldn't win the Cup . . . The Packers are now playing a powerhouse in Detroit and will be dispatched in summary fashion. Detroit 28 Green Bay 10. Then again, every other time I have talked smack about the Lions . . .

Hondo (Yuke On) What the hell with the Hockey reference. Keep your ice golf comments out of my Football consciousness. GB better be thinking QB in next years draft. How about that Lions D-Line? Looking forward to Bly's return v GB. Still sounds like no Kevin Jones, though. The Tundra sounded dead at times Mon night, although I was (not so?) surprised to hear quite a few boos from the Lambeau crowd. And those boos started very quickly (kind of like the Titan offense). The crowd seemed stunned into silence at Tennessee's ability to score/GB's defensive ineffectiveness and outraged at GB's offensive struggles. My how fans can sour so quickly.

I hope they beat Green Bay, it is always the most satisfying win of the year when they beat the Pack. I, too, secretly admire Favre, but think that he is pretty close to pulling a Willy Mays right now and this week if he loses to Detroit that will solidfy my opinion on that matter. However, if Williams is not in the lineup they will double up on Streets and the running game (aka the offensive line) will have to come through. Considering the Pack's running defense has let two backs run for 150 yards at Lambeau (never happened before in one season)the Lions may prevail by the run. That would be sweet and that is my prediction 24-13 Lions with over 200 yards on the ground.
