I like the Lions a lot this year. I think it is going to be Jeff Garcia that leads the team.

I don't know about the defense. They are suspect. Also, WR's touch the ball like 4-7 times a game, how does having all of this "impact" really help us? Kevin Jones is a horse and hopefully Sledge being out won't hurt him too much. Go Lions!

It wouldn''t surprise me in the least if Sledge ends up on the IR. Waiting for the return of a 12-yr. veteran fullback from serious injury is a losing proposition. So is the prospect of the team utilizing Jeff Garcia as it's starting Qb. If they go to Garcia, that is a sure sign that the season is for the most part already lost! In regards to the defense, their lack of a pass rush is my primary concern. They have strengthened the depth and of their secondary and linebackers. I feel that they are finally fielding competitive talent there. Also, don't discount the absence of Randy Moss in the division as potentially making the Lions defense appear better than they may actually be. 15 TDs, 3-4 of which usually came against the Lions seciondary are awfully hard to replace.

I was actually somewhat surprised that Slessinger had such a good season last yaer. Would not be surprised to see him on IR (How much more can a body take?). O'Hara has always been a strong supporter of Harrington. I am not comfortable at all with Garcia at the helm. Looks weaker than ever. I stick with my earlier prediction that H, barring injury, will QB the entire season. Just stop throwing the ball at the receivers feet on three yard pass plays.

Joey H and/or Steve M.

Got to put it straight forward Joey. No doubt in my mind, you can get the job done. My fear ? Protection
given by the Offensive Linemen. Cadence time and
timing to develope plays that click MUST be provided . I think Coach Mariucci knows these things better
than anyone. Being mindful and reminding team and
staff is exactly how and why team work, the effort, makes it all click.
My strategies for winning ? 1st. Sell mis-direction 2nd.
get defensive backs RUNNING and WINDED. Its a 60
minute game, they get tired too. 3rd. "Dog-leg"
left+right WRs to center ->out while an RB or TE
runs the post. 4th KEEP banging this theme AND
use RB K. Jones to offset Defensive thinking .
I respect QB Peyton Manning and COLTS Off. for
protecting Peyton as he SELLs the fake.
However, no team can win a Championship without
a heads-up Defense.
Wishing the Lions a great season and ALL to stay
in top form, ie "healthy" !
