Lions sign 5 of their 8 practice squad players
September 6, 2005 on 6:06 pm | In Uncategorized |The Lions were recently able to re-sign WR’s Paris Hamilton and Glenn Martinez, OL Cory Proctor, FB Will Matthews and TE Jason Randall to their practice squad. In doing so they filled 5 of their 8 available roster spots for the squad. Depending upon the success of the ground game and the recovery of injured FB Corey Schlesinger, Matthews may yet have an opportunity to contribute to the Lions this season. Randall may also eventually be able to be a future contributor to the team.

The LIONS definitely need(ed) a capable backup but I fail to realize how Harrington, or any playah, benefits by having somebody breath down his neck an entire season. LIONS at 3 point favorites hosting GB. I am still worried about the LIONS D line and secondary. It sure would be nice to start out with a win, and even nicer (is that a word?) against GB, an NFC north rival. A couple INTs from Favre would be nice. LIONS 26 GB 24
