I agree. I'm no Harrington fan, but the guy played one of his best games ever, and most importantly, with no mistakes. What does it take to win his job back? So now you have a guy with a fragile ego playing his heart out and getting a luke warm reception from his own coach? I just don't get it. You are right about Jones too.

However, I'm more worried about our battered defense. It's like every week out best players and only hopes go down. You could see right away as soon as they took Holmes out of the game, his replacement had no idea where to be.

If there is one thing Matt Millen has done capably, he has provided the defense with a decent amount of depth. Unfortunately, this depth has been stretched to it's limit. The situations at corner and MLB are very troubling. The Lions will need to both stop the run and consistently pressure Bledsoe in order to have any remote chance of winning Sunday. Otherwise, they will lose by two-three TD's. I hope that their secondary can hold out for one more week, even after they were eviscerated by the Cards have not allowed a lot of big plays.

I think there is more going on than player troubles. In my opinion, Joey should remain the starter, because now he has more weapons to help him prove himself, if he fails this week start Orlovsky. Jones shoul be running more, with Shleschinger in on short third downs. Jauron has done a greta job with the defense, if only the injuries could stop. I've said it before, there is no reason the Lions should'nt be the division champs and a big threat in the playoffs. They need confidence and heart.
