Everything you’ve written in this section is, in my opinion, right on, with the exception of one thing. “….regaining respectability.” You say this as if it is actually attainable - I dare say that gaining any level of NFL respectability (at least with the fans of this city, nay, this fan) won’t occur in my lifetime. All I can say now is….prove me wrong and make me eat my words, Bill Ford.

Question, the Lions need to at least look at an African-American coach. They need a bad-ass, no-nonsense type of a guy. However, any coach like that, that may be available certainly wouldn’t want to take the Lions head coach job. There may be an assistant coach in the NFL that is African-American and tough. One that has been over looked for other head coach jobs…….Singletary!!! He may be looking for a place to get his foot in the door, heck, he may even be succesful! The team itself needs to find a rallying point, a reason to come together and play as a team. As far as Joey Harrrington goes, I hope a team not in the NFC gets him next year because he will be a good quarterback. There are a number of players that when they left the Lions have become better.

Is there any way to impeach an owner? That’s the only way the Lions are going to reach respectability. The Fords are absolutely incompetent. The Lions haven’t won a playoff game since 1957 and things are only getting worse.
