Great post. Martz was trouble. But we don't need a West Coast dude, either. We need an establish the run/stretch the field guy. Also agree..Joey is our best chance.

Stillers annihilate the Seahawsks tomorrow. This won't even be close.

As for the super bowl i am quite certain the steelers will win ,But i am hoping for my adopted sons sake the haawks take home the trophy cause he loves them so much ,but in all reality the steelers will rule the day Now on to the lions i was never optimistic about the hiring of martz the team he had in st louis was not his that was vermiel s team and you all know once martz took over what did they do they slowlly but surely fizzled come on now lets be realistic heresurely there is someone out there that is compatible with coach marinelli,s style of coaching look what the steelers have done and tampa bay has done with smash mouth football on defense and stretching the field on offense the west coast offense hasnt worked since the 49 ers won those superbowls i mean common now lets talk about how marinelli is gonna instill discipline here and the will to bust thru opposing offensive lines lets put one more blockbuster d lineman down there with him (shaun big baby) and blow up some offensive schemes and let the work of charles woodson and dre bly pick off the mistakes by the opposing qb,s and boss bailey and teddy lehman bust the runnin backs head when jhe tries to run and kenoy kennedy and someone we can grab out of free agency drill the recieveres that try us across the middle and then let joey lead the likes of williams ,rogers, and williams and jones out to blow there minds on a high speed sprint to the end zone what does noone understand the possibilities are endless here we have the right coach in line now let mr marinelli and henderson and a offensive coordinater take this franchise to the promise land here( coach marinelli i plead with you to bring in someone who knows how to do thiings the way dungy and gruden and andy reid do things heck look at the steelers off coord he knows how to move the ball ..............nuff said

K man,

Bottom line, give credit to the organization for moving decisively on clearing out Mooch (to the chagrin of us native Michiganders that wanted him to succeed) and hiring a tough minded accomplished football guy like Rod M...with Martz in the mix now, at least things will be entertaining...I mean even if we suck again...we can still watch for signs of a leadership battle between Rod and Mike! Who knows, we may even see a little bitch slap fight some Sunday...

On to the point of my post...you've got to agree that job numero uno is to completely re-tool the O-line...draft priority, F.A., whatever...it all starts there. More specifically...

Backus...gone
Raiola...don't make me laugh
Woody...c ya
Butler...cryin' over here now
DeMuling...possible keep
Pollard...one more year

Now don't tell me I'm throwing the baby out with the bathwater here...these guys simply did not produce...if we're startin' over, let's really start over. Rod's forte is line play...so, let's go get a group that's hungry to win and wants to work together. Just build it baby!

What say you?
