21-62

What more really needs to be said? The Lions are 21-62 during Matt Millen’s tenure. In the NFL there are no easy victories to be had. That being said, if there was ever a game where it was certain that the Lions had an excellent opportunity to attain victory, it was at home against the Packers. Now when you cast your eyes upon the horizon it is difficult to see where the Lions can feel confident in their chances of winning ANY game left on the schedule.

What mystery is left for fans of this team? Fast forward to April, Matt Millen will yet again muff another Top 10 draft pick. The team will enter training camp with high expectations that will be left unmet. The cycle continues……

  1. Warning: Football is a drug. It can make you feel very good for a few fleeting moments and then it fills you with regret. What if I had been spending my time exercising instead of watching the mess of a game yesterday? I would have been better off in the long run. But, not unlike a junkie, I waste time and energy in pursuit of happiness throough football. I was up half the night before in a fit of rage after watching the Spartans blow yet another game. I had no energy to do anything yesterday other than watch the kittens.

Football has brought me nothing but pain. Am I strong enough to swear it off and make a new start with my life? No, I’ll be watching it tonight. Thinking of ways the Lions can improve.

My life is a wreck. I blame the Lions.

  2. Shipped Wrecked Hondo san,

I can almost envision your tears hitting the shot glass! The pain you feel is temporary, though. I promise…..well…..I almost promise. With Millen at the helm of this 10′ flat bottom jon-boat with twelve holes in it, we’ll never go anywhere. Now is the time to bring back a coach of yester-year. Just look at the Tigers. See how they went retro with Jimmy Leyland? Bring back Jack “The Killer” Sleeman who used to coach the Lake Odessa Giants? They went 12 & 0 back in 1912! What a team! Ole Uncle Jack could put some spark in those Die-Uns! Spittin’ his Beech-nut in those boys eyes in order to get them rollin’! That’s all it took.

Now, back to the bottle. The pain is temporary….so is the half way full level of this bottle!

    FIRE MILLEN!
