Like Jason Hanson stated, how could you NOT have been conditioned for what has transpired the last two games. This organization will not have officially arrived, unless it can avoid a run of disappointing losses, where they are clearly in disarray, like they have experienced in each of the last two games.

The Lions have no excuses, either. It was laid out nice for them to win each of the last two games and remain one game behind the Pack, now they are three games back.

Hopefully, the Lions can wave off the carrion from their rotting corpse of a season for at least one more game. BTW Did I mention how much I dislike Brett Favre?

Sunday was a heartbreaker. I confess to having blasphemed several times during that game. In particular when I had my hopes up. One thing that is somewhat telling, when the Lions were on the march at the very end of the game, my feelings of excitement were tainted by an ever-present feeling of impending doom. I almost expected the third interception. I hate to admit it, and maybe it makes me sound like a jackanapes, but I just kind of expected it. It was the feeling that you get when it's the bottom of the ninth, a man on third, two outs, the Tigers are down by one, and Brandon Inge comes up to the plate. Despite the potential, I can only predict the most negative outcome.

The Lions are starting to remind me of a certain Don Gibson tune . . .
