Mike--I would never suggest they move Johnson. In fact, I think that one of the receivers among Roy Williams, Shaun McDonald or Mike Furrey should be traded in order to better utilize Johnson, ideally Williams who would likely yield the biggest return and would be most likely to be upset by sharing the ball with Johnson.

I can be very gullible. I believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, Underwear Gnomes, Delicious Vegetables, and the Boogie Man under my bed. Okay, I admit that there are no such things as delicious vegetables. It strains credibility to believe that the Motor City Kitties are going to win any football games as a result of hard work and talent in the forseeable future.

On the bright side . . . Spring Training is NOW.

Yukon you ogre!!! Next thing you'll do is tell me that there is no Santy Claus, Easter Bunny, or Tooth Fairy.

Actually, I am trying to work on my positivity in regards to the current direction of the Lions, but it's AWFULLY hard to not sense imminent disaster looming in the background.

I don't know Blogman, but the sarcasm meter seems to be going off the charts. I'm going to lobby for Ford Field to put up a sign above all entrances: "Abandon hope all ye who enter."

Yukon--I accept your challenge.

Here goes: Ernie Sims continues to look like he will develop into a consistent, near-Pro Bowl caliber weakside linebacker.

As bad as the Lions defense has been, given the off-season addition of three to four new CB's and at least one new linebacker and defensive lineman each, if the stars align themselves properly, the Lions MIGHT not allow their opponents to complete 70% of their passes next season.

Ikaika "Hawaii Five-O" Alama-Francis will also get a chance to prove that he was worth selecting in the 2nd round last season. Again, should he develop into a better pass rusher than Kalimba "The Ghost" Edwards, the Lions defense should improve, it certaintly couldn't be any worse....

By the way, did I mention that Rod Marinelli really likes his offensive line and doesn't believe any upgrades should be made? "Big" Damien Woody deserves to be the team's starting right tackle, and should receive a big payday taboot, after 4 quality games at the end of last season.

The Lions may have actually found the missing piece to their offensive line...and Drew Stanton, yeah, Did I mention the healthy return of Drew Stanton? Wait...I am getting delusional must fight urge to see world through Honolulu Blue-tinted glasses.....Matt Millen's 33-81 is deceiving, he really has done a very good job...stupid CIA Monarch mind control program...why did they make me read "Catcher in the Rye"??????????

Blogman, Here is a challenge. Give us some good news. Write an article on some the positives that you see in the upcoming season. Without sarcasm. Here is one requirement--it has to be longer than two sentences.

I, as I have for the past two seasons, propose the Lions trade away this year's first round selection. All they are going to do is saddle us with a player whose signing bonus will eat up this team's future without ever really contributing.

I hate us.
