Don--glad your first time at Ford Field was a victory, you realize that you HAVE to attend every home game until they lose now, right?

Whitey--accuracy is an intangible trait that can be honed, but not cultivated. The other things, leadership, etc. I believe that Stafford possesses, although he still needs work on his decision-making skills, it would seem.

All I have to say is, those two out patterns against the 'Skins (one to each Johnson) were as pretty and on-target as any passes delivered by a Lions Qb in several years now.

Mike--my guess on Dizon/Foote is the heat of the battle taking over during the game.

He do need a win, but we cn't pull Stafford for any reason now. Even if he throws 6 INTs, he has to remain the QB until he isn't the QB anymore.

I think the Lions are making a huge mistake putting stafford in, WE NEED A WIN. There's a little thing called morale which is absolutely essential to a sports team. Low morale=low energy and low self-esteem. Put in the guy that can play, win a game, and then we'll see about the new guy....cmon Lions.

I like what the Tark said ~ JaMarcus R. and V. Young (in regards to arm strength) and how he compared to M. Ryan, Manning, and Manning. QBs need: 1) Good decision making skills 2) Accuracy 3) Intangibles (leadership, attitude, respect...). Stafford may have (or not) all three of these plus the arm strength. Young QBs also need the tools around them to be successful (see Ryan, Sanchez). Hopefully Staford will not fall to prey the Curse of Being a LION (being LIONized) and relagated to work @ Harringtons School of Wine, Piano and Quarterbacking. I do not think the LIONS can destroy another 1st round QB and expect to move forward.

"....,If you can rise above, and emerge from your chrysalis, moving from larva to butterfly, proving your doubters wrong, you may serve as a fine example to us all about how to actually succeed in life, regardless of the pursuit. That mere fact alone is much more valuable than any victories you can lead the Lions to in your inaugural season in the league,...."

This is what my friends and I are centering our "FAITH" around, this year.

Improvement each week will get us to the games (because of the "BLACK-OUTS", we'll go down to the stadium and score tickets and root for the team LIVE).

So, too us, they already look better than at any time in the "McMillen" years. Hope, for us fans, rest in the hands of the new regime (GM, coaches, draft-picks, etc. etc. etc.) and we like what we see and hear-SO FAR!!!

So, while we drink the "Kool-Aid" and eat the "Corn-Bread", we remember the context of the "Product" on the field and can't help but feel positive- especially, in the face of a losing streak, forced upon us by a decade of "IF-COMES" and the "Divisions" within the organization.

But now, coach Schwartz and crew, have turned us into believers in a diet of "FREASH KOOL-AID" and "HOT CORN BREAD".

They are using a recipe coming from a book constructed by leaders who actually succeeded in the game of football; unlike the past coaches and GM, who always seemed in over their heads, grasping at anything that "MIGHT" turn the franchise around (picking up retreads for the Tampa-Two and other well documented Bull$#it).

I'll be at the game Sunday (for the first time at Ford Field) and we're looking forward to an effort leading too a victory, another step forward in the maturation of the team and it's young, future "STARS".
