What good can come from this? If he plays well, so what, he's supposed to...If he blows up off the field...so what..it's expected..if he doesn't play well..what a crappy pickup.

If we want to take a risk on a dud, I'd rather have the background off the field out of the equation.

"...,The Lions, not usually prone to Faustian deals with the devil, likely are in a position, even with the additions of CB’s Chris Houston and Jonathan Wade, where they have no choice but to extend Jones an offer,..."

Why not? As long as he can play and there isn't guaranteed money involved, but an incentive based contract is used- I think they can't lose.

I can't be as bad as this:

No, Mike, I think they really like Hill. A defensive line is better with a quality rotation, for stamina purposes.

Schwartz likes players who are able to play multiple positions, and Hargrove and Corey Williams can play both outside as DE's, and slide to the inside on passing downs(think Kevin Carter, in his prime). Hargroves flourishes in that role, actually.

I believe that Corey Williams, Hill, and hopefully, Suh or McCoy could be a really good start for the Lions defensive front.

If the Lions D-Line is better, it protects their secondary, which is obviously weak.

Have they given up on Sammy Hill already? Do they think he is just a "depth" level talent at this point?
