Don't say that Mike, that's bad juju. However, the Rams did trade Adam Carriker to the Redskins, which could effect the Lions in two ways: 1) The Rams could do something horribly unmentionable with their first pick, which I will not dignify with discussing. 2) Albert Haynesworth could become available to the Lions at a discount rate.

The Lions would get screwed if they took Bradford. If the Rams pass on him, and with other teams knowing that the Lions already have Stafford, whom they appear happy with, the Lions would have no leverage with potential trade partners. As much as it would be nice to consider, I believe that would be disastrous. A trade down is a lot more likely, in my opinion.

I think Gerhart is a good call. Like a fast moving brick going through the line.

What if the Rams take Suh? I wonder if the Lions could just take Bradford anyway and force a trade with someone. It would be like a forced trade up for some team that is dying for him. We'd get the added assistance of Bradford's agency to help us get a trade partner too.

I am okay with the trade, I just wonder about creating another need, entering the draft. Unless, of course, they are about to sign Akin Ayodele or Keith Bulluck, as rumored.

I think Witherspoon would be enticing, but if Jahvid Best is there, I think they might take him. Personally, if they are going to go double-tights, with both Pettigrew and Scheffler, one of whom who would also play H-back, ditching fullbacks, then I'd like to see them draft a big, Jerome Bettis/Brandon Jacobs-type, like Toby Gerhart or LeGarrette Blount.

A selection of either of those two players would also be more in line with a play-action pass, vertical passing attack built off of a punishing inside rushing attack. Booty-ful!

I'm pretty sure that Holy Crap! is what I said too. I don't know about this trade. It feels like we got the weak end of the deal. What the hell are we gonna do with 4-7th round picks? DO you think our 2nd round pick and 2 or three 7th round picks would move us up high enough to grab witherspoon?
